Tent Theatre summer season

Jerry's next gig is in Springfield, Missouri, where he will be taking on a couple of roles at the Tent Theatre, located on the campus of Missouri State University. There, he will perform the role of Jim in the Elvis Presley jukebox musical All Shook Up from June 8-June 18, 2016. Then he will play Alfred P. Doolittle in My Fair Lady, singing the classic Lerner and Loewe tunes "Get Me to the Church on Time" and "With a Little Bit of Luck." This performance runs from July 6-July 17, 2016. Click here for tickets. These two roles are new to Jerry's repertoire, and he couldn't be more excited to sail into these uncharted waters.

Tent Theatre is a summer tradition held in a tent pitched directly north of Craig Hall on the southwest corner of the Missouri State University campus. The seating capacity is a little over 300 seats. Summer Tent Theatre conventionally presents two musicals and a comedy playing in repertory for six weeks with a specially selected company of students and guest artists. Notable Tent Theatre performers include Missouri State alumni John Goodman, Tess Harper, and Kathleen Turner.

Jerry is back in New York City, where he will be performing in this year's Broadway Backwards at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (current home of Kinky Boots). This single performance event will take place on Monday, March 21. Click here for tickets.

Broadway Backwards is a celebratory evening for gays and lesbians to see their stories told through the great songs of musical theatre by celebrated Broadway performers. Without changing the pronouns, men sing songs originally written for women and vice versa, bringing new meaning to familiar Broadway show tunes.

The evening is set to include performances by Broadway legend and two-time Tony Award winner Chita Rivera plus Broadway favorites Nick Adams, Danielle Brooks, Tituss Burgess, Len Cariou, Andre De Shields, Josh Grisetti, Jay Armstrong Johnson, Laura Michelle Kelly, Eddie Korbich, Beth Malone, Lesli Margherita, Karen Mason, Kenita R. Miller, Ken Page, Telly Leung, Brad Oscar, Krysta Rodriguez, Emily Skinner, Tony Sheldon, Ricky Ubeda, Treat Williams, Tony Yazbeck and Broadway trio Apollo Link. Performers subject to change.

Broadway Backwards, the only annual Broadway event custom-made for the LGBT community, our friends and families, will return for its 11th annual edition on Monday, March 21.
